New screens from the GC on WoG

The first info from the Games Convention is Leipzig is already coming in.

5 New screens from G3 can be found on WoG

Some very fine landscapes and npc's can be found on the screens. Although the armor textures aren't all implented yet, IMO.
All people who thought the previous screens were too dull, can breath again when they see these screens.

Check them out right here

Thanks for the info. People with dial-up should visit WoG.
The same pics can be found on JoWooD-News in much better quality, though. See front page. Broadband is a must.

It seems the pics are part of the normal GC press kit. If thatīs the case Iīll also get them on Saturday.

Hadn't found them there, thanks

There's also a new G3 trailer on Jowood-news. Downloading it now (47.5 MB)

/edit: Where did you find the screens, I read the news and went to the gallery, but the G3 map is last updated somewhere in July.
/edit 2: Never mind, I found them. The link in the newsflash goes to a different gallery than the link "gallery" in the menu on the left.
/edit 3: The trailer is nothing new. It's on old trailer from quite some time ago.

2006,not january of 2006 as was stated till now.Hope they are wrong

we can see what is surely an ore melter . And we know what part of the world the screens are from co's there is only one place where the ore is melted in myrthana: Nordmar. but where is the ice? maybe not all Nordmar is icy....
To comment the screenshots I think they are really wonderful!
At the moment I sold my previous graphik card and I am back to my geforce mx-64 mb.
And men, when I see this... As soon as Gothic3 is published I buy a new computer and everything will be at maximum quality.
But really I think games and especially rpg's have reached a new-level. Now you can really "feel" you are in the world. I truly believe in gothic3 you will have 10 times gothic1 feeling.
Gothic3 is a dream come true

These screenshots are stunning.
I'm going to have to build a new computer to get this game to run at all.

Where do you see a sign with "Ore melter". It's just a big furnace to melt steel. Mostly likely these pictures are from the area around Myrtana. There IS snow in Nordmarr.

@Razer: You wouldn't have to go to a Romanian site for that, you could also have checked the forums here and the news on rpgdot.

Some new info from G3

There are several new "shakycam" movies, uploaded by some german forumers on the WoG forums.

For example here is a some ingame footage from the GC: http://rapidshare.de/files/4120789/33460020.AVI.html

There are also files with an episode of the German games-programm NBC GIGA:
http://rapidshare.de/files/4124561/Gothic3.WMV.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/4125299/Gothic3.1.WMV.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/4125607/Gothic3.2.WMV.html

Some info from the tv-show:
- The game will have a play-time (is that the correct word to use: Spieldauer) of about 200 hours.
- The playable character on the GC stand is NOT the hero, NEITHER is it Diego. KaiRo said that the hero is not yet done, but will look as much as possible the same as the hero in G1 and G2.
- there will be no transportation or fighting on animals, no mounts. PB has tried it, but it would take too much time to implent it right. Too much new animations, etc. The final decision isn't taken yet, however.
- After the release of G3 they will reconsider the idea of a multiplyer modus for future Gothic games if any.
- PB still aims for Q1 2006 as the release date.

When judging the amazing graphics and animations shown in the videos, remember that we're still talking about a PRE-ALPHA version without any lighting etc.
For a RPG it's already looking incredible.

Great, I was still waiting to start the download of the third part.

WoG hadn't hosted it yet, when I made my previous post. Thank Innos, they did.

Well...after seeing the video, I just can`t wait to play the game. There is some problems with the characters movement though...it`s a little unrealistic..keeps jumping everytime, but I`m sure that they will fix the problem..after all..this is a pre-alpha version.

Yea, made him appear to be "skipping" I thought, I was just waiting for an orc to bust out and then see them both frolock in a field of daisies.

Wish they should some combat and stuff though, it was mostly just the character walking through a little town and then a little outside.

Itīs still pre-alpha. PB just created a build a day before the show and presented it. They say nothing is faked or hand-picked. This is what the game looks like without normal maps, specular maps (?) and correct lighting.
