I reserved a copy of morrowind at an EB store but they couldn't tell me the minimum PC requirements. Does anyone know for sure?
I have a DELL 700, "gForce 256" (the first one out) and 256 ram.
I know it won't get the highest graphics but I was hoping it will just run the game. I'm waiting for the new gForce 4 to come out and hoping that will run on my machine. If I have to go to a giga htz system then I'm SOL till next year. |

This will not be sufficient, sorry.
I have learned that MW is more graphics card dependent than processor dependent. So, with a 1Ghz and a fast (GF 4) card you could be on the VERY safe side, while a 1300 Mhz with Geforce 2 MX could suck.
I have no proof for this, so better wait for experiences from gamers. _________________ Rendelius

Thanks for the Info. Now that I know I'll be able to play it all I have to deal with now is the agony of the wait. |

So you are saying the game is unplayable or (very choppy) with a 1300 CPU and a Geforce 2 GTS? That is above the recommended for the CPU and the recommended for graphics card. It would be very stupid for Bethesda to release a game that didn't work with the recommended specs. I mean it is stupid for it to not play fairly well with the minimums.
If this is true I am very sure they are about to be slammed in the reviews. This is a major technical issue and those are never overlooked by a reveiwer and I agree that it shouldn't be. |

No, I haven't said that. I run the game with a 1300 and a Geforce 3 Ti 200 and have more than sufficient image quality and framerates. I just wanted to express that I could imagine that a 1000/Geforce 4 combo (no the MX ones!) will allow you to see all the splendor . But again, this is pure interpolation on my side and not a given fact... _________________ Rendelius
