I read somewhere that the first guy you have to vist Casis tells you to go out and join guilds but before I went to see him I had already been out "adventuring" and by the time I got to him I was level 4 Breton Atronarch Adventurer and he told me about all of the trainers available to me and gave me the "further orders" option from the dialouge which i selected. so now I'm to get training and he wants me to complete the orders but hasn't asked that I join a guild.
So what are the thoughts on finshing the game without any guild or house affiliations as an "Adventurer" and if i must join what factions should I join? I was thinking fighters/ mages or both if they're not exclusive and originally I wanted to join Telvanni but then I found out they keep slaves and I free most of the slaves |

Astonishingly, there is really a lot to do just randomly walking around the gameworld. Also, the main quest gets fairly involved. You could start on it, do nothing but concentrate on it, and have fun in this game. |

You could concentrate on the main quest first, without joining any guilds at all. You could finish the quest and then after that start looking into the various guilds and great houses to participate in their own little politics. This game is free form, you can do things the way you want. There's no set order to do things except for quests once in a while |
