Don't kill any ogres? Gamestopper?

I read the Games Domain review, and it said that if, in the beginning, you kill the ogres it screws up the entire plot. Which ogres are they talking about? The one asleep with the note you need signed? The ones by the gate? ANY ogre? They really should have said EXACTLY what they did if it's a gamestopper... I'm scared to engage any ogres right now and I REALLY want to

actually, you can kill anyone in the game and still finish it, but it is a lot more fun if you do approach creatures friendly!
The sleeping ogre you are talking about is a troll...ogres appear soon

OK, so, when I'm presented with the opportunity to be friendly to the ogres, or other creatures, it will be obvious? I won't have to run through a bunch of ogres or any other creature to find one that will talk to me... and if I had killed any of his kind he will hate me?

You can see from the distant, if a creature is hostile; if they are not, TALK to them. And you don't have to run through a bunch of hostile ogers to find two to talk to you. If friendly, all are friendly, if not, then they attack you immediately and you can kill all of them...and if in turn you attack friendly folk, all of his surrounding (i.e. same loading-level basically) will be hostile of course
