DD 1 - Thief template?

I kinda wanted to stick to the thief template as much as possible and not take skills from other professions except for restoration. Is it possible to do this? I am having the hardest time staying alive with just a dagger. Please help?

Try using ranged weapons ... other than that I've not got any really great suggestions.

Val?

Sneaking is your friend. Poison is also your friend. Ranged weapons are good for a Survivor. And of course, scorpion traps are extremely effective.
