About Heavy Dragon Hunter's Armor

Can someone tell me why Bennet won't sell me the heavy dragon hunter's armor now that we sailed out to the island? By the way, 20,000 gold pieces is insane to ask for armor, even if it's that good.

Did you read the almanac in the secret library? You must also have brought him some dragon scales. If you are on dragon island, it's too late.

of course I read the almanac. that's how I was able to offer the idea to bennet. I gave him the scales already and I just needed to pay him 20,000 gold and I figured I could've made the rest of the money I needed on the island. I don't know. Maybe it's just me but I find it ridiculous that the armor was all ready for me to buy it and we take a trip on the boat and all of a sudden it's not available anymore. I sure hope I can scrounge up the rest of the several thousand ore or if not just find better armor on the island. thanks anyways.

sorry if it seemed I had an attitude. I had to close the game AGAIN for another stupid graphic reason. My guy got stuck on a wall somehow and was floating in the air. ha. Sometimes all this stuff makes it so hard for me to get anywhere in the game. anyways thanks again.

Sorry, couldn't tell from your post. You can't get better armor on dragon island. You are going to have to reload back to ch 5.

What is the problem? Does he refuse to sell you the armor despite you having 20k?

The option to ask for it goes away in ch 6.

well, good news. I was able to get the insane amount of 20,000 gold pieces. Just through selling furs, claws, teeth, dragon eggs and gold dishes and crap like that. I contemplated trying to steal from the paladins for it, but that's not my style. I was pretty desperate for the money though. Anyways, hope I can gain some money on the island seeing as I only have a little less then 200 gold. and thanks for responding.

You shouldn't need too much on the island. But good luck.

You can find also some dragon eggs in khorinis (chapter 4) maybe he sold those

but anyway, I DON'T UNDERSTAND why the guy is having problems with the money. the last time i finished the game with a dragon hunter I had over 60.000 gold at the end of chapter 6. With all the armor I buyed before (except medium merc, you get this one for free from gorn in VoM) and I also wasted a lot of money on spell scrolls and stuff (fire rain, thunderstorm, summon demon etc) but I still had TONS of money so I still don't understand. There shouldn't be such a problem getting 20,000 gp until ch5... huh...

Regarding the eggs, I sold them to Bennet for that dragon eggs in khorinis mission. As for the money, I did buy major amounts of life potions. I'm sure if I didn't buy all those potions it'd be a little easier for me to find 20,000 gold. I did a little estimate math and figured I probably spent around 10,000 gold pieces in health potions. but anyways, either way I have the money now.

But still even with buying all those potions you should have enough money left. Are you collecting every orc and lizardmen weapon? They aren't worth a lot but you'll get loads of them, that brings in the money.

It's not my habbit to collect that weapons
Those are not worth much indeed but I don't care I have enough money anyway and I don't want to waste my time picking up everything that enemies drop.
