Is it worth me buying bloodmoon?

Is it worth me buying bloodmoon? ive not finished morrowind yet, i found i always gave up and got bored of the story line...but bloodmoon sounds more attractive to me...however, ive had bad experiances with expansion packs before, found they offered little new options...

But i read somewhere that you can direct the building on the island? is that true? to what extent? What other nifty features are available?

Yep, but not in the "place this building here" sense, but in that the onus is on you to do things to help it progress. You do get to make a few choices that affect the buildings that appear, though.

The big nifty feature (the real point of Bloodmoon) is that you can become a werewolf. Otherwise, there are a couple of new weapon materials, 4-6 new armours, and lots of new creatures. Naturally, you get a load of new NPCs and quests, too. The environment the game is set in is very different from in Morrowind, with ice-covered lakes, Nordic-themed folklore, wild animals and snowstorms.

Altogether, the new content changes the feel of the game, the new materials and ingredients give you more options, the new story is nothing you'll have heard about in-game so far, and the new werewolf concept can rather change the way you play the game. If you're getting bored of the base game, I would guess that Bloodmoon is exactly what you need.

Word of warning though - in some people's experience Bloodmon causes more crashes, and it's certainly more resource-hungry than Morrowind ever was. I'm basically on minimum spec, and the frame rate drop I experience when a big blizzard kicks up is pretty painful. With a reasonable machine you'll probably notice the difference, but it shouldn't cause you any problems.

No, not at all. Never heard that one...!
