Heal potion key for G3 like in G2?

Searched, but couldn't find the answer:
Are they planning to incorporate the ability to have a heal (h) key available *if you want it* as they did for G2 and G2:NotR? Yes, I'm a old man (relatively) and my *real life* dexterity is not what it once was.
Thanks.

Well, I like the option of doing it either way. Makes the game more fun and accessible to more people (always a good thing). It's turned off by default. So, you have to make a conscious choice if you want to use it (guess that's what *option* means)...

In Gothic 2 (not sure about G1) it wasn't in the options menu (you had to turn it on in the GOTHIC.INI), because the developers thought it would ruin the fun.

I don't know how they think about it now, with the new fighting system and interface, but if their opinion hasn't changed there is a possible change that the options is either not in the game at all, or not directly accessible.

There's a good lesson learned the hard way when pc-hero gets killed, it makes you more aware, to be careful next time... no quick-heal potions for me thanks, let's keep as in the real world - one mistake and your out.

No, never heard anyone enabling quick-heal in G1.

Right, this actually was my point, that you *had* to go into the ini file to change it. This makes it definitely the default to *not* have it available. Me personally, I like to use it (only when necessary). The parts that are impassable due to your character not being strong enough are *still* impassable. It just makes some of the fights a little less frustrating when you have to keep going back over and over again to kill something when your HPs are down to nearly nothing and his HPs are also near death. A quick jolt of a potion at this point makes it a more fun game (to me, at least). I realize that everyone has a different way of playing a game and that what is good for me is not always good for someone else. Even though I consider myself an 'old hand' at Gothic, I still prefer the quick heal. I read somewhere on this board that someone has made a difficulty changer for G2 and G2-NotR. I read thru what it does and immediately decided it wasn't for me. It has the potential of making the game way too easy. But, for some people it might be the thing that makes G2 a lot more playable. Many people have complained about the difficulty of G2-NotR. I'm not one of those people. I love the challenge (with the 'H' key enabled). Gothic 1, I liked a lot. But, I finally got a little too frustrated with it (I may still go back to it, someday). Gothic 2 was just right. Just what I wanted, but that included the use of the 'H' key. G2-NotR is near *perfect*. If the 'H' key is not available in G3, I will still buy the game (couldn't help myself ). The more people that this game appeals to, the more the chance for a G4. By no means am I advocating a 'dummying down' of the game. That would kill it. But the option that the designers *gave* me in G2 and NotR make this game just what I want. It's great. ***Your mileage may vary***.
