The trailer looks great. Everything in this game cries "high quality". _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

morrowind was not trash at all. It had its letdowns like the combat system and character development system, but the world was grand, the immersion guaranteed, the free-roaming and the open-ended storyline a nice aspect and the possibilities incredible. It opened up a lot of doors to the genre, and hence it deserves to be called one of the best rpgs to date.
As for Oblivion, I can't wait for it to come out. It looks great, I just hope they will have a good mounted combat system, they have improved their editor, they will find a way to include throwing weapons and they implement things like cloaks well, and perhaps leave out the irritating morrowind glow of enchanted items. I hope their face customization allows for ugly as well, I hate playing brad pitt or brad pitt with different hair or brad pitt bald. |

Greetings, Gaidal Cain.
I have yet to see one Brad Pitt in all of the Elder Scrolls games (not that I wanted to, but still).
On the contrary, in my opinion all ES characters and NPCs were beaten with the ugly stick, in Morrowind perhaps a bit too much (not that it hurt the game, it enhanced the wonderfully bizarre atmosphere of Vvardenfell). But the trailer convinced me Bethesda at least returned to the roots... people in the demo/trailer look a lot like people in Arena, Daggerfall or the spin-offs did (I haven't seen the mobile phone or Engage games yet so I can't say anything about the characters there). _________________ Is that clear?

Hiya Imago Storm.
Yes I quite liked the looks of most people in MW (except the hair, oh god the hair) but lately, games have tended to edge toward the handsomeness principle (Guild Wars, Dungeon Siege II, etc.) and the chap in the preview videos looked positively pretty-like.
I've just taken a gander on the elder scrolls forum for some extra info, and sad to say, no mounted combat or cloaks of any kind |

Yes, but we're supposed to be able to make our characters old, with wrinkles and sagging flesh and so on. So we actually have the choice between Brad Pitt and Robert Redford . _________________ Is that clear?

It was boring and a Failure but um at least the water and music was pretty?
Lets face it a game that is based on action when the action is horrible there basicly is no game.
Besides the horrible combat/magic you got the generic lifeless boring npcs everything is mostly text lots of reading and crap tons of useless items big world but its very boring and looks ugly feels like the world is covered in mud.
But the music was awesome and i liked the water.
Oh and theres also the game crashing every 2 mins
Im looking forward to Oblivion i wanna see how much they have improved after i saw the movie and saw the new combat then i started to really want it.
Lets see how it compared to morrowind |

Whoa... Paul, I really can't see how you can say you like RPGs. RPGs are not combat based, btw. bethesda specifically made combat that way because they wanted to prevent the player of the game from being the decisive factor in combat, they wanted to have his character be that. I comlained about that enough. In Oblivion, they've taken a different route and now they're getting crap for that.
Anyway, you are so very wrong about the world. You just have to face the fact that you do not like RPGs, you like action games. |

Tastes are different.
I am still playing Morrowind and enjoying it, and this is thanks to the great mods that are out there. But all these mods wouldn't help if the basic game was crap. It wasn't crap for me. _________________ Rendelius
