this is strange...

I know the BG series and other IE games are really popular. so why is this forum so much smaller when compared to the Gothic and Morrowind forums? and not only are the IE games popular, there are several of them, while compared to one Gothic or Morrowind!!!

We just have a small community here for IE games... that and for the most part they're not 'new' or 'hot'... they've long passed their cooling point.

The NWN forum is pretty slow too, despite it being an excellent game. People tend to hit the 'official' boards, I'm guessing.

I think that there are some points that are very important, if you (we) want to have big forums (do we need or want big forums here?). I have some experiences with bringing life into Wiz8 forum ect. so I know (but I am not sure :]) what I am talking about.

- It is important to start forum some time before certain game is released (or at least when this game is released).
- It is really important to force owners of official pages to post link to forum. If this link is announced in news (and not only posted in link section), it also helps.
- It is also important to promote your forum on other "good" pages related with certain game.

So generaly - you always need someone who will do this quickly and in right time.

Because this rules were followed when creating MW and Gothic forums and were not followed when creating NWN forums (I am not sure about this, I was already on my military service when NWN was released), there are certain differences between this forums.
