NOTR: A Strange Bug

For some reason, I can see no dead bodies in the Valley that are supposed to be there. At first, I was passing the part where Olav was supposed to be, but the body wasn't there. Nevermind, I thought. Then, I went to Silverstro's camp but I didn't see a single dead body. That's ok, I knew where to go anyway. But now, in Chapter 4, I haven't seen the dead Paladin's body near the pass either. I'll go check where's Den, too. Another bug that could be related is Engrom appearing right where he used to stand, only dead. Talbin didn't notice anything and gave me the quest the normal way.

I don't care about the minor experiance/items I could've gotten from the bodies, I'm just wondering if anyone experianced this before? I fear it can be quite a problem to people who haven't played G2 before (the Silverstro's bit, for example).

I've never had that bug with the Gold edition. Strange.

Never heared anybody else about it yet.

It sounds more like he is playing the German add-on without the patch.

Perhaps in Gothic.ini this tiny cheat will works :
spawnRemoveNpcOnlyIfEmpty=1
By default it is set to 0 and when you move to far from corpse they disapear.

Mmm some explanation but few minor spoils, I know wrong forum but I can't explain, so:
Spoiler:
For the north mines in chapter 4 when you come near the orcs attack starts (in fact just spwning stuff I suppose).

So if you rush fast you can save them, quite funny but I suspect that if the attack occurs but you leave then with value 0 to setting above the corpse will disapear.

For Olav in fact it gets killed by the wolves when you arrive if I'm not wrong but that takes 1s and you don't have time to save him I think. But again if you go near trigger the fight but leave I suspect the corpse disapear.

For engrom it's normal, it's class variation. With a mage he isn't dead and he is a point for another quest, when for mercenary he is dead and there is only the skin to get.

Yeah, I've got the German add-on with the translation mod. Didn't know I had to patch THAT too! Thanks for your help.

You have to start over or insert the missing NPCs manually.
