| my saved game crashes and locks up??? |
|
I just got my English version Gothic2 and I am level 14 skill and am about to fight dragons. I can't get into the valley of mines, it won't load to the valley. The game crashes to my desk top. I am running Windows Xp, with Directx9.0b, Intel 845g chipset/ intel 82845g/gl/ge/pe/gv graphics controller, Analog devices-Soundmax intergrated digital audio, 256mb memory. I have shut down all my processes execpt explore and task manager and the game still crashes. Can anyone help me I have looked into updating my video and sound cards but I think mine are ok to play the game. Any suggestions? thanks for the help  |

Given your extremely crappy graphics and sound hardware I´m surprised the game ran at all.
Try another savegame. If you can enter the valley your other save is corrupt.
Are you in chapter 4?

if that doesn't work then you can try patching it, but i'm not sure if that would help at all.

yeah, if theres something wrong with the gane if you find the right patch then it might fix it.

There is no official patch for the international G2 versions.

Gorath and Drake 14, Thanks for the input. I gave up on the saved game and started a new one and beat it. What can you suggest for better graphics and sound cards as I have no idea. Thanks again for the help!

Congrats on finishing it. It is sad that PB, Atari, and Jo-Wood don't realy care about the english versions of Gothic2.
