| French Addon, English Voices, June 30th... |

The French Amazon, is taking money...
So barring a serious mishap June 30th is a locked in date...
So I did my best to order the game...
But they are not shipping over seas...
Assuming this is a EU thing ( which I know very little about [stupid american] )...
I need to ask,
Do we have any kinda plan... can I help from here?
(  being brutalized on eBay is not what I mean )...
I realize it is still too early to speculate...
But a MOD that modified the German Voice version,
Into the English voice version would be a nice thing...
Yeah, I know it would be HUGE...
On the flip side, does anyone one expect that the French addon,
can be coaxed into the English Gothic II? Seems we/they did it with
the German addon via the Translation MOD.
( thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you )...
Is anyone on these boards,
in/near France who ( has the English Gothic II, and ) can test it?
Am I the only one losing sleep over this?

Apologies if this has been posted anywhere prior...I just stumbled across this while wading through the JoWood forums looking for info on the official english NotR expansion...
World of Gothic: There are rumors about an impending release of the English version of the addon. Can you give us more details?
Stefan Berger: English versions will be released, we at JoWood took matters into our own hands.

That was definately news to me.
I am still very excited about the French release as well.
Since there are no specifics, about a true English release...
The difference to me is simply,
Sometime in the near future vs. This Thursday...
I still expect to spend ( yet even more of )
my money on the French release if possible...
Unless a solid English release date is set.
But Truly, Thank You Noah... More hope is always preferable to less hope.

I hope they release english add-on soon. When we finished the first mod, it had some issues in it, mainly grammar ones. Latest version had most of them fixed, but there are still some what need to be corrected - grammar, sentence layout, stuff like this.. But, time is the problem and all ran out of it. One of the threads here has, or had, the final corrected version of it and that text was, if I can say so, perfect, but time's an issue and it didn't get put into the patch. And lateron the rumors - and confirmations, albeit without dates - came out from JoWood, so the 'project' went on hold, sort of.
Personally I hope that JoWood releases the english add-on soon, I know I'd buy it. I want to have the full speech available also. I just wish that JoWood would finally give something more solid then the "we'll do it soon".

 it is June 30, 2005. The Amazon.fr website has NotR as status "Usually dispatched within one to two weeks." There still in no box shot, and does this mean it is for sale now?
I think it is still on hold for one or two more weeks.
As for buying here in the USA check this out. Normally video games are not sold outside a sales territory.
Expédition : cet article peut être expédié uniquement dans l'U.E. et les pays suivants.
Expedition: This item can be uniquely dispatched in the U. E. and the following countries.
Now E.U. could stand for the European Union. Meaning it can ONLY be delivered to the EU.
Or, since the United States is Etats-Unis in french, it could mean This item can be special delivered to the U.S.
EDIT: Opps!  I misread U.E. backwards. The Etats-Unis is E.U. So, U.E. means Union of Europe.
Sorry, it can only be delivered within the European Union and the following countries and exception linked to. So much for 'free trade'.

It is from Hungary. It contains english voices and english all text - everything is in english.

RoiDanton So what default game version do we need? Will it work with what version of the original Gothic 2 UK, US, or Hungarian version?
And will they sell to USA?
