Isn't Azura's Star the biggest soul gem?

How is it that Azura's star is not big enough for a simple dremora's soul?No soul gem is big enough for that creature and for others too!! The grand level soul gem is fixed on 1600?We cant enchant items more than that? Is there any item limitation in Oblivion as there was in Moroowind for enchanting, the same enchantment goes to a simple ring as well as to a gold ring?

Black soul gems should do the trick; in this game Dremora are NPCs, not monsters, and trapping an NPC's soul requires a black soul gem. You should be able to trap Xivilai and Spider Daedra with yours, though.

Enchanting is independant of the item used. Grand soul gems offer the maximum charge.
