I was reading the walk through, and I saw this optional quest. You suppose to find this book from the skeleton mage in Xarda's sunken tower, but after I defeat the thing, the only thing it dropped was summon skeleton scrolls. I don't ever recall finding any of those books ever. What is going on here? _________________ Arguing over the internet is like competing in special olympics. You might be right. I don't have the document with me right now since I am at work, but I remember it says you need to read the first one before the second one appears and second before third, and so on and so forth...
You find the first book in Xardas' sunken tower after looting the skeleton mage. no? _________________ Arguing over the internet is like competing in special olympics. Even if you win, you are still retarded. |

Hey there Joeman,
I think Gorath is suggesting that you use the search facility at the top of the page, it is powerful, putting in the right requirements can get you a whole lot of good past info's, i think only a short time ago bTb (balconygolf) made a full list of where they are located etc' _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |

And if i'm not mistaken there SHOULD be some kinda strange book in the tower at the beach! Ya better be well equiped before going there, since the place is swarming with the undead. I must admit I never understood what that damn book says, and I don't even remember what it says since I only found that book once or twice.
Just follow the path leading east through the forest from the southern gate of the Old Camp. _________________ Life is more than wealth and luxury! Or just pay attention in older threads.
9for those who feel like bord searching)Older thread:
know that this matter have been discussed a lot of times but here is a sum up for the nOObs:
_Chromanin * The Stranger_
(the Fog Tower quest)
Spoiler:
1.The first book lies near by the Fog Tower's Skeleton Mage.(underground of
the Fog Tower into the cave's tunel system).
2.The second book lies on the top floor of the ruined tower. Its a bit tricky
to climb there.(where the Orc-Shaman fights his "brothers").
3.The third book lies near by the big rock ,which is on a little island of the
first river you meet when you begin the game.(you will recongize that the waters
are a little shallower...the tide part...).
4.The fifth book lies between the two , big , white , rocks which are on the other
side of the little lake , in front of the New Camp.(as you stare from the huts side).
5.The fifth book lies between the two pieces of the shinken boat , where the
Fire Lizards are.(near by the Fog Tower)
6.The sixth (& last) book lies inside the inventory of a corpse ,which is excacly
where you found the first book.
_Notes_
a.The books have the name "old book" when you lock on them during the game and
they are named Chromanin ,Chromanin 2 , Chromanin 3 ... when you read them
from your inventory window.
h.Each book , when it's read gives some experience points.
the first:0,the second:300,the third:500,the fourth:700,the fifth:850 and the sixth:1.000
c.Value of each book:50 ore (I read that it's OK if you want to shell them,
I didn't try it myself yet).
d.You will notice that the books are kind of in the air than on the ground.
e.If you have teleportation runes , they'll help you a lot during the quest.
f.I suggest to start the quest shortly before you go to complete the Orc
Cemetery quest. You would be strong enough to "do" the Skeletons, Warriow
Skeletons, Scout Skeletons and the Skeleton Mages.(I was at least 15level)
g.The "corpse" except from the sixth book will also provide you with some
ore , an amulet and two spell scrolls(Transform into BloodFly).
h.The "corpse" looks like a digger or more like a peasant.
i. ...But how , in the names of Beliar and Innos , a peasant can afford for an amulet
and two spell scrolls?...
k.When you read the last book(Chromanin 6) then some voices are heard talking about
your last mistake... and then two Skeleton Mages appear with their little
skeleton army.If you are completing this quest at early chapters then I suggest
to open the last book outside the Fog Tower 'cause the Skeletons Mages appear only
inside the tunels(but the voices can be heard everywhere). But if you are an experience
fighter then no problem.
l.The books can be found only if the previous book (,in line 1,2,3,4,5,6) has been found and
readen(except the first).
