Killing the guy who Murdered Tax Collector

He waste me every time I fight him. Anyone take this quest?
If you did how long did you wait to take him out?
I am a Custom character along lines of Theif/Scout. Took Short blade instead of Long may this be a problem later?

I think this should be hauled over to the spoiler board...

quest related info/advice should not be on the main board!

I really do not want to be spoiled before I will at least get this game. Pay attention to this. I reported it to moderator to move it to spoiler forum.

I wasted that fellow before I got the quest to. Thank the good Lord for summons, shields, and fire bites.

I think it was moved - look: someone asked a question, then people said it should be moved, then there is a post from a moderator saying "your wish is my command", then, "duh, it IS in the spoiler forum".

The progress seems quite clear.

Getting back to the topic, I was able to kill this guy with my newbie mage, using a combination of a Fire (destruction) spell and my short sword. It was a LONG battle, but he finally died. The cool thing about this is after you kill him, you can basically use this house for excess inventory and to sleep before hitting the road. Perhaps as a place to keep some of the early items you don't want to carry now, or think you might need much later on. Since you can get transport back to the city pretty easy from major towns, this might be a good starting storage option.

I think I got it from one of the two main guys in the imperial building in the first town - this is the building you first go into when you start the game.

P.S. I dodn't kill the guy you MURDEROUS BASTAGES!!!
