possible to let a bard train one gadgie level to use omnigun

Hello !

I`ve searched the forum for an answer but came to none so i ask the following question. I have an umpani bard as an NPC and i want to use and enhance the gadgeteers omnigun. So if i train my bard one level as a gadgie will he be able to use and enhance the omnigun he obtains or do i have to have level requirements as a gadgeteer for the enhancements of the omnigun ?

Thanks in advance,
L.

The omnigun can only be used by a gadgeteer. A "former gadgeteer" cannot use it. Additionally, the gun's level will match up with the owner's level as a gadgeteer. So, if you've got a (level 10 bard / level 1 gadgy) character, his omnigun will be the bottom level (no upgrades). If you switch back to bard, his omnigun becomes useless.
