I've trying to do as much killing monsters and doing quests in Ch 1 without joining any guild as possible. Then i'm goin to make a special save that i will use as a starting point when playing game for another guild.
So, the question is - if i kill golem before becoming a novice, will i be able to complete quest that is required to promote to full fire mage? |

But how would you get into the monastary if you're not a novice? |

He can buy a sheep and get 1000 gold, say to Perdo he wants to join the mages, Pedro will give you the key to the door and say you have to talk to Parlan. If you don't talk to Parlan you aren't a novice but you can still enter the monastery.

You get the quest to kill that golum later on in the game.
Highlight the following to see how to do that:
Spoiler:
Steal the sacred hammer of Innos from the monastery. you've 2 options.
-fight the guardian of the hammer for it, and risk having to pay a penalty
-put the guard to sleep using a sleeping scroll.
I would choose the second option.
Use the hammer against the golum, 1 blow should be enough.

Thanks, but i do know how to kill a golem. Also there is a way into monastery even w/out paying gold and sheep. In involves climbing cliffs near Pablo. |

The last time I brought the offering PEDRO hand to me the novices robe and in my status screen I WAS a novice BEFORE talking to parlan.
This occurred only to me? |

Jump to base of one the pillars where some novice is sweeping floor. There comes a tricky part - you have to find a right position and angle to jump from base and get a grip on roof ledge. After several tries it seems impossible, but in last attempt it took me less than 5 minutes to get out. |

No, when you get the key for the monastery you'll already be a novice technically. You can't join any other guild afterwards. The story might tell that you need to speak to Parlan, but your guild is chosen as soon as you have entrance to the monastery.
