| Drinking Contest - how long does it go on????? |

I've been watching this for at least five and maybe ten minutes - how long does this go on, and WHY OH WHY is it taking so long? Are they trying to bore us to death????? Or is something wrong? |

I lasts for 24 hours I think. So its best that you go off and do other things thien come back the next day.
I think he says how long it takes when he describes the rules...

first time when I played g2 I had to wait a hole chapter(chapter2)
but the second time I played it it took till I speaked to lord hagen
but...
I didn't told him that I would get him the evidence and only the fact that I had talked to him a little those idiots finished the contest(still in chapter1)

Just wait until night time, when everyone leaves or is sleeping, then just walk up to the chest and swap the water and gin. The bartender shouldn't bother you. |

This is one situation where I normally have fun. I lure a scavenger or 2 into the tavern and watch the show. You can loot the whole place during the fight if you wish.

The contest normally takes three whole days, so it just depends on the time in which you finish a chapter, Giani.

After drinking for three days, I'm surprised they 1)didn't run out of alcohol 2)Didn't have any worse effects then a hangover, like I dunno alcohol poisoning.

And they didnt even pee once! Btw they didnt have alcohol poisoning because i think that they were drinking water only.

This is so annoying, in order to make the quest succeed you need to swap the gin with water and that's all, don't take the gold pieces and the dagger, because what's his name will notice that someone messed with his quest and you'll still lose. Happened to me twice, I was just to greedy I guess.

It's amusing to see the farmers get angry! Happened to me once when i touched the chest with the whatever-was-his-name guy nearby.

No, they were drinking beer. You put water in there because whats-his-face was lacing whos-the-guy's beer with gin, making it worse. Putting water in there nullifies it a bit but I really don't think that would help after three days. And whats-his-face didn't put water in his beer, I'm suprised he still was standing up.
I always take whats-his-face's stuff, but I never failed the quest.

The water in the beer would nullify it QUITE a bit. The beer was watered down already...or so says Rhukar. I also like how npcs in game tell you that you are going to regret it. Regret what? They never take action on their threats, or I knocked them out or they are dead.
