Calling X2 and Freelancer fans ...

Has anyone out there heard much about Starfury? From the folk that brought us that gem of 4x space games Star Empires (no longer freeware drat it all), this game sounds a bit like X2.

Any further feed back?

I liked, but not loved Freelancer, but I haven't heard of this Starfury before. Do you have any more info than what you posted?

Not a heck of a lot (thusly this topic). But here is link to the official site. I got interested from a small blurb in a gaming mag my son left behind after his last visit, and figured the gurus here might've heard a thing or two.

I loved Space Empires v3 ... I never got around to buying #4.

I couldn't get going in Starfury. It's worth a look but you don't actually fly the ship - it's a point-and-click thingy to go somehwere. Eveything is in a horizontal plane, too. Something was...missing.

Starfury huh. You sure that's not a shareware game? That web page is so 1985.

@konny- No, it's not a shareware game ... although the original universe it is set in was ... until recently.

Just thought it was interesting, that while we had to petition to get this forum, it now has more posts than quite a few other games. Well done to everyone who is enjoying this great, fun game. I only wish it had MP.
