Trouble at the Circle of the Sun (also)

I've fixed the eye.
I've informed all 3 of the wizards.
Xardas is the only one not present.
It's like the other 2 are standing around waiting, but Xardas doesn't show.
When I transport to his castle, he is still at his book, but when i talk to him i can only 'end'.
any ideas??/
thanks.

Sounds like a bug to me, but I'm no pro. Try to reload from there and see if it works. You may have to go back to a previous save to get it to work, unless you want to use the cheat codes and try to fix it, but I really am not able to help you there. Just wait a while and some or our resident pros will log in to help. Welcome to the Dot by the way.

Ahh.. thanks for the welcome!
I hope someone has the answer. I was really moving right along until this snag.
Hopefully someone has seen it before and can fix it.

What guild are you and what armor do you have?

You may need better armor. Do you remember Xardas saying anything about not going because you aren't prepared? If so, you need your next armor unless you are mage. If you fixed the amulet, Bennett would have given you armor if you are mercenary. But if you are militia, you must ask Hagen to join his order. He will accept you because you found Bennet innocent.

Go into Marvin Mode and possess him. Walk him down to the Circle of The Sun. Then exit his body to the flying avatar and go back to the Hero and repossess him.

Thanks for the responses guys.
I am a merc with medium merc armor.
I used marvin mode to 'place' xardas at the circle, but he just walks back to his tower.

I haven't tried possessing him, but that seems like the same thing.

That's the problem. You need the dragon hunters armor from Bennett. Xardas won't go until he thinks you have a chance against the dragons. The armor might be in your inventory. Do you remember Bennett saying something about a present?

I do remember that.....
if i have been carrying that armor along with me this whole time, i'm gonna be pretty upset.
i'm going check now. if you don't hear from me for another week or so, that means i had the armor and i am back to being buried in the game.
thanks for the responses, everyone!

Dang is right. Bennet's present was supposed to be light dragon hunter's armor. If you got a ring instead... Have you tried talking to him again? Cause you get a ring of livliness from Fernando in town after reporting to him on the valley of mines. Try Bennet again. See if an option comes up for a present. If not, you'll have to either reload and do that part over again or use marvin mode to insert the armor. Sorry I don't know those codes though.

Crap.
OK. I appreciate all of the help.
I will try and find the marvin code to get the armor... i was hoping to not have to go that route.
But, if it gets me back into the game, i'll do it.
thanks again, guys.

Well, nothing has worked so far.
I'm still stuck.
Does anyone know of a way to maybe skip to chapter 4?
It sounds like the only thing I need to do is finish the ritual and I will start chapter 4 anyway.
Here is what I have tried so far:

I used marvin mode to get the light dragon armor. no luck
I used marvin mode to create the eye after the ceremony, no luck.
I used marvin mode to create the broken eye to get it repaired again. no luck
I dropped the eye at the circle, went sleep, picked the eye up again. no luck.

I'm boned because i don't have any saves far enough back with the original broken eye.
help...

I'm sorry, no way I know of to skip chapters. The only way other than replaying the game is to beg a save game from someone. But it probably won't have same stats you worked up. I have a merc/thief I could give you near that point in the game. But if marvin insert didn't work, and you tried Bennett again and no good. That's the only thing I can think of. Let me know by pm what you decide.
