Fire in water

In Gothic, I lead the fire golem into a lake. Funnily, it's fire was still going strong when it was underwater. Isn't this a bit unrealistic? Fire should fizzle out underwater! At the most it should boil the water and evaporate the whole lake. But to see the flames going on underwater is just ridiculous.

It's magical flame. It can do what it wants.

in Gothic, your torches would still burn underwater as well. I guess that's not to unrealistic, considering that there are types of fuses that can burn underwater. Maybe the fire golems were composed of a similar material?

Yes they do. If you wait long enough the torch fizzles out.

Oh... those underwater torches and fuses? They're made of special material. They don't work too well out of water though.
