Questions about New computers and Morrowind

hi , i recently purchased a new computer , it fits the reccomended hardware specs for morrowind, but after hearing about all these driver problems, crashing , memory leaks ect, i was wondering if i will need to download new drivers for my Nvidia GeForce 3 or anything else even tho my computer is only a couple months old.

Definitely. Even if you were not getting MW I would update the drivers because it really improves your experience with your computer.

Its a must, and not just for mw. Just grab the latest detonator drivers, and see the results for yourself .

For me I can say that the 27.70 detonators work pretty well with MW.

If I'd have a GF4 though (owning a GF3) I'd give the 28.XXs a shot.

Drivers

If you are planning on using your computer for any more than an expensive paper weight, I would suggest that you get in the habit of checking for (and updating) all your drivers (not just video) on a regular basis.

drivers

Don't waste your time downloading new drivers. Thats just a myth. I could be running 6 month old drivers, or "the latest detonators" and it would not matter at all. In fact one poster recently shared an experiance where the "latest drivers" screwed up his performance. Go figure.

I think you are a Myth Elder. Anyway yes download the latest drivers from the nvidia site. Not the card manufacturer. And you will see they finally learned how to use 2xaa properly. When they bought out 3dfx they shoulda asked them.. haha. Anyway getting the latest drivers is not only for performance but for visual improvements also.
