The videos (when you start a new game, and the PB logo video) skip like MAD. It's next to impossible to hear anything intelligible, or see what's going on. Anybody have any clues as to why this might be? It isn't my system, I have an AMD K7 running at 600mhz, and 260MB of RAM. I'm mainly wondering if I'll have the same issue with the full game, which would make me wonder if I should buy it at all.

Any ideas / fixes / whatever?

If you have a Voodoo5 turn on 2xFSAA. Else post the rest of your specs. Sounds like a driver issue.

Ack, sorry! I'm a bit absent-minded. And again this is the FMV stuph, not the actual in-game anything, that all runs fine. Don't know if I stressed that enough. Like the PB logo with the water, and the opening FMV to the game describing the backstory (I assume).

Specs are:
AMD K7 600mhz
260MB RAM
Voodoo5 5500 (64MB)
SB Live!

My HD isn't running a partition, or anything.

Is there an ending FMV, or does all the real story take place through in-game cutscenes? If this be the case, then I don't have a problem, with exception of the first 2 videos.

Thanks again, sorry for my unintelligible posts.

Thatīs how I understood it.
Try to activate 2xFSAA in your driver. This should fix it.

Another possibility is editing the gothic.ini.
scaleVideos=0.

The ending is a FMV. A few more are shown during the game.
