To bad about the lack of multi support in G2, but is G2 better than for example Asherons call 1/2 to buy? i kinda like Multi better,

I haven´t played AC1/2. The developer decided to focus on single player, and I like that. Look at NWN what can happen if you try to make both. While MP seems to be great the SP part is only mediocre.

Multiplayer would be cool as hell. I think it would make a good political multiplayer game. You could set it up so you could join (after meeting certain requirements) a Faction/Clan/Guild (Merc, Mage, Bandit ect.) and then in a sort of co-op mode, work towards your particular faction’s ultimate goal. You could become a land owner through honest or dishonest means and run a farm hiring field workers to tend your crops and Mercs to defend your property. Or you could seek apprenticeship and work to learn a trade and then setup a shop somewhere and earn a living by commerce. As a member of the Bandits your goal could be to control through intimidation & profit through extortion. Thieves might need to build a reputation through successful completion of robberies to establish a client base (or stay out of jail) and survive by making political connections. If you joined the Guards your goal would be to establish law & order (difficult outside city gates), make sure everyone pays their taxes and go on quests or campaigns for the King. A Mage could make a living by healing people or offering there services to the masses. Mercs could establish contracts with land owners to protect their land or hire them to raid you competitor’s farm and burn their crops or do battle against your competitors forces if there are multiple clans of Mercs.
Some things would need to be enhanced to support a game that is based on commerce though. You can’t earn a living as a smith if weapons and armor never wore down or broke (like in Morrowind). You can’t become a farmer if there are no crops to harvest and sell. You can’t be a Bandit if there is no trade.

It would be fairly easy to allow co-op play (eg, a friend controls Diego or Gorn or Mud* or something.
