Personally, I'd store-buy mine so I wouldn't have to wait for it to ship.

Dear MightyPaladin, there's something like an edit button. No need to post twice in a row within 5 minutes.

Ahem, I'm going to Pre-order from a store... I seem to have broken the poll.

i see no reason to order it. no offence to gothic or anything i love it, but its not exactly a zelda or FF game where your lucky if you get a copie. so i don't think i'll have any trouble getting a copyof it.

I generally never pre-order unless I'm entitled to something special, like a special collector's edition, arrival at my doorstep on (or even before) the day of launch, a version banned in the country I'm in, special offer price and so on.

Otherwise there's no substitute for being able to hold it in your hands after you've just paid for it, feeling, "I've got it!"

I buy nearly all my games online. It's more confortable, especially if the next store is far away. Plus, the stores in my vicinity have mostly only the German versions standing in their shelves. Granted, that wouldn't be an issue with Gothic II. But if I want an English version, I would have to order it in the store. No point.

So I'll just preorder Gothic II at a trusted online shop and, while waiting for October 18th, play the equally preordered games Medieval: Total War, Mafia and Master of Orion III.

I'm going to buy mine from a store first so you don't have to wait for shipping and second so you don't pay shipping and handling

I never preorder.

BTW, did you guys see the latest gimmick for Earth and Beyond? If you "preorder" then you get into "beta." Meaning, if you buy unfinished product, you don't get to complain about it. :/

IŽll buy it in a shop. JoWooD has strong logistics in D/AU/CH. Gothic 2 will be available everywhere at the release date.

I may preorder simply because it took the local shops in my area a long time to get Gothic 1. Even then they only had one copy on the shelf.
