I'd forgotten about some of the completely random things than can occur, like running into a crashed Star Trek shuttle, or King Arther.... very, very funny. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Or the Bridge of Death. I love when you stumble across that special encounter. The character word bubble pops up and your character goes "I have the sudden urge to save my game in a new slot..." just in case you're not a Monty Python fan and can't get through the encounter.
Yep, the special encounters in F2 are great. Ah, memories... _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

I was glad they continued them in Fallout Tactics. Running into Morte (PS:T) was hilarious. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Awwww.... I didn't run into a single special encounter in Tactics... I feel deprived.
I did run into a bunch of enemies who loved nothing more than to blow up my Hummer in one shot, though!!!
It was funny the first time, watching the characters scrabble naked out of the burning vehicle. Normal armor is destroyed. Only my guy in power armor made it out without losing his clothing. Just sort of stood up, blinked at the wreckage and handed the tech bandits some "Indiscriminate Justice". _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

You missed out then. I rather liked the brahmin tipping one, the brahmin poker encounter, the bazaar where you could buy armor from Diablo, the deathclaw liberation (stupid PETA person got what she deserved ), the L33tists, the Pipboy special encounter was good.
The Canadian invasion encounter was great too.
They're devious, these Canadians.
I heard that Canadia started the great war.
They think they're so tough!
They won't get past us!
Why doncha go back to Canada!
Go eat some back-bacon!
Rotten, dirty, filthy... er... scum!
The komodo man encounter was rather amusing (rip-off of that Crocodile Hunter guy)
What I'm gonna do is grab him by the nuts!
Oh, he's really pissed off now!
It's alright, I'm a professional!
Now I'm gonna jam my thumb up his arse!
Oh, he doesn't like that, does he?
There were several others including traders with some nice items. The trick to finding them was to cross an area at the corner. If you could get an encounter then you could get others in that same area square. I could usually get four encounters to each square. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!
