I heard alot of people saying that they have encounterd thanks in the game, shooting fire, lightning and... machineguns! Is this true, it sounds stupid, but i don't think they were joking. |

Yes, there are tanks and robots - they are hybrids between modern metal technologi and ancient wooden contructions .

Goblins my friend. You enter a Goblin workshop along the way. It is general fantasy rules that they know how to build complex machinery for the time. Think about the Warcraft series or the like. The Goblin workshop was actually a nice change in scenery.

The tanks are perfect for the goblins. They also have robots and grenade lauchers.
As a matter of fact, the little guy that gets crushed by the Gas Powered logo when you launch the game is a goblin flamethrower robot.
You know Rawis, maybe you just shouldn't play the game. So far you've complained about the frame rates, the party and now the machinery. Dungeon Siege is obviously not right for you, why subject yourself to it?

Oooh, that wasn't as bad as i thought.
I thought there were like "real" thanks.
Well... guess your right Gig, but i just gave the game a new change, i was just angry before i played as a stupid mage before, they are to weak for my taste.

The goblin warrens have a number of mechanical things to pummel you.
Goblin shockers: carry lightning guns
Goblin igniters: carry flame throwers
Goblin grenadiers: carry grenade launchers
Goblin gunners: carry dragon miniguns (nice)
There are mechanical spider thingies, flame thrower tanks, grenade tanks, lightning helicopters, dual minigun thingoes (perforators), walking proximity bombs.
Its a great change of atmosphere and a great part of the game, I thoroughly enjoyed the goblins.

Right! Goblin igniter... that's what the little guy who gets crushed by the logo is.

It got real difficult there though. I had been playing on Normal but about half way through the workshop I cut it down to easy until I emerged back out. There were some serious fights down there than I just didn't see possible on normal.

Really? I had no trouble with the goblin tunnels on normal.

I'm there now (on normal setting) and it is going ok. As long as I take out the flamethrowers first I can survive the battles. They seem to be what really does the damage.
