Oh yes, by all means, go and play the Conspiracy again! The decisions to make along the way are gruelling (but you already know that), so in case you haven't done so yet, try to save Paul and Jock (or if you already have, try NOT to save them), try to finish off Ana at the first or last possible occasion... but whatever you do, please, PLEASE go to the lady's room in the UNATCO HQ.
This will be THE decision with the most serious repercussions during the rest of the game.

Spoiler:
Just kidding, but be sure to do it anyway, because...
...Manderley will give you a severe dressing down, and people in HQ will talk about your little trip to the other side. Just listen to them!

Already did that one. So I got chewed out about the bathroom by Manderly. I went in there multiple times to make her angry.

Also, I tried really hard to save Paul…but he still got killed. If I stay at his apartment and keep gunning down MIB will he live? When I played I got thrown in the UNATCO cell.

The best story I have for Invisible War was with my 3rd char…a Pacifist. Through the whole game I did not allow him to have hacking skills or kill anyone. I was trying to see all the threads I missed so I was paying the Helicopter pilot 500 bucks per trip. At the 2nd time in Cairo I had no money…I spent it all on candy bars and soda. He offers to take out one of 3 factions on Liberty Island for 500 bucks. So I decide to “cheat”.

I rip out my mods and load in 3 levels of hacking, put on cloaking, sneak by the Illuminati super soldiers to an ATM and hack it. They chase me with guns blazing and I dash upstairs praying that no innocent people(such as NG Resonance gaurds) get slaughtered because of my evil theft. Well I pay him and later when I get to Liberty Island via free Jet he radios me and laughs his ass off. His response is “see ya sucker” and the jerk takes my money and does not perform a strafing run on any of the factions. I was angry, yet really enjoyed the drama!!!

btw it is very doable to save Paul in Hells Kitchen Hotel , just stay first with him a little bit and after the MIBs gonna enter the room throw the granades first at them [ thats what i did] if u are lucky 2-3 will be killed at onze cos after one of them gonna die they gonna Detonate themself also. After u save him u need to save him later in the game again by bringing his........[spoiler that will be your next task]

So you got chewed out by Manderley, but did you overhear the secretary talk to one of the UNATCO troopers about your stunt as well?
"This is the guy I told you about!"

Well yes, it's possible to save Paul if you don't leave through the window. You need to kill the opposition and then leave via front door IIRC.

Tsk tsk, I knew Sid Black couldn't be trusted. - Actually I didn't know it, but I still didn't trust him...

Jaz,

Did you play it on your XBOX or on PC?

Anyway, I fniished DX:IW (on the PC - of course!) a while back.

It's no surprise that I did not think it was quite as good as DX:1. However, I found it to be an enjoyable experience and I played the game twice with different characters ( i.e. - different biomod combinations). The graphics were quite good, story was engaging, the dialogue was nice, and it was fun to try out the different approaches to solve problems.

I really do not understand why lots of people on the DX forums at Eiods and ION are so down on this game. Yes, it *is* dissapointing in some ways. It's too short, some of the choices are "superficial" (as Druhin notes), and the levels - while often gorgeous looking - are too cramped.

But many at the official forums make out like the game is absolutely *terrible*. That it has no value whatsoever. Somehow they feel personally betrayed because a certain aspect of what made DX 1 great to them was removed or reduced. And because of that, they are forgetting that if you judge DX:IW on its own merit, it is more than worthy.

DX:IW, even with its flaws, is still head and shoulders above all the mindless shooters that are out there.

PC version... my XBox is reserved for beat'em ups and racing games only (with very few exceptions).

What 'mindless shooters' are you talking of? Shooters happen to be my favorite gaming genre. If you mean Painkiller and Serious Sam, yes those definitely are mindless. But a great deal of fun nevertheless, at least for me...

Yes, I was thinking of those.

Of course, I suppose this is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. Straight up shooters and such can be fun, no doubt. Just personally, I tend to get bored with them pretty quickly -- even more intricate ones like Call Of Duty and such. One recent exception is Far Cry, though. Marvelous game.

But you're right. Sometimes you just want to just chill and wreak some havok without getting involved with a lot of details.

BTW, did you know that Enclave 2 was canceled?

I get bored with the multiplayer aspects of games pretty quickly. If a game has a negligible single player part as well, then it's rather bad IMO, but as you said, apples and oranges .

No, I didn't know about Enclave 2's end. Pity...

Here's a link to a post (which links to *another* post ) from a Starbreeze
guy about the cancellation of Enclave 2.
