Freezing after game exit

Everytime i exit gothic, like 10 minutes or so after i exit my comp freezes, this happens all the time
anyone know why? and what i can do about it? i noticed theres no english version update for gothic yet, CRAP !! ! and im on XP btw.. ok thanks

Same here , except I can't actually run the game, I just get the popular Access Violation screen just after the logo. Then 10 mins later the whole machine will just grind to a halt ,even though there is nothing in the task list and the machine functions normally for the 10mins after the attempted run. Strange huh!

Looks like Ultima IX has been knocked off the top spot for most buggy game even after several patches. (at least UIX ran)

ive just discovered something new, its not 10 minutes after i exit gothic, its like this. Everytime i exit gothic, and then run an executable, like an EXE or any openable file, txt,exe,ram, whatever, the comp freezes, and im using xp, god damn it! wtf is going on? i feel like i paid to have my computer frozen!!!! ;-() ok if you know of a way to fix this, gimme a holla

by the way "Anonymous/Unregistered User" lol, what motherboard do you have? the intel cc820 chipset?

I used to have Gothic freeze up on me when I tried to exit, so I CTRL+ALT+DEL'ed it, and it never happened again. Instead of it freezing when I tried to leave, it exchanged it with everyone's favorite Access Violation at the start logo... I miss that freeze after exiting...
