Copy Protection Error in Gothic 2
   

This message appear when I start the game and when I hit a monster - "copy protection error" and no hit points taken from it!?!
Message is not a "Windows error"!
Message is with font on the Gothic 2 and game work fine except this "copy protection error"!

Please Help!

The game obviously thinks you don´t have an original. If you´re playing a copy you have your answer. If you have an original you should post on the official board. JoWooD has a copy protection specialist. Maybe he can help you.
All we could tell you is the typical 'update all your drivers, ...' blabla.

You read Gorath's answer. If your copy is pirated, there is no help. The GII's copy protection is rather good, and the RPGDot network doesn't support piracy.
If your copy is legal, go to the JoWooD forums to ask the CP specialist.

oh this is stupid! whan GII was just released, I got this funny German-Russia version, with dialogs in German and Russian subtitles, very little customisable - a truly pirated one, and guess what? NO copy protection error! And now I have an English version and suffer the wrath of the notorious copy protection. This sucks, I do not think I want to play the game anymore

delete the old fragments of ur German-russia version they have different confs etc so after that the game starts working correctly only
