Kinky stuff, selecing the gender of your virtual avatar.

First a confession:

When playing games I mostly tend to choose a female avatar even I am male. This is not true everytime though. But usually, in MMORPGs too, I select a female avatar having a female name of course. However, in Asheron's Call I equally played female and male. Akira Xan was my male mage who rose up to level 72 with me, and Nova Star was a female mage who I raised up to level 86. I also had many other characters like female unarmed fighter Danni Ashe (mind the name ...

If the game is in 3rd person mode, it is much nicer to watch a female behind than male behind. ESPECIALLY if you spend months and months with the same character.

What about you, answer honestly

Hehe, how embarrasing. When I tried Blade of Darkness I chose the female archer because I enjoyed watching her butt when she ran. How's that for pathetic?

But mostly I play the male gender.

I wonder how many guys are playing females in NWN with the nude hak and the jiggly haK? Not that I would...

In normal single-/multiplay games I have no real preference for the gender of my avatar. It's all kind of random.

If were playing a MMORPG, I'd probably choose a character that reflects my personality best (~> male). I would not 'play' a game anymore, but rather project myself into an alternate world. Everything else would feel awkward in my opinion.

And in Unreal Tournament I always play a female character, it just feels "lighter"...

Umm, always male. To me, it would just feel weird playing a female, plus my friends would probablyu make fun of me.

I play whatever the gender is of my character. I think I've played more males but I have played quite a few females too.

Speaking of watching female character's butts, I've recently been playing Heavy Metal: FAKK 2 and *LOL* 'nuff said if you've ever seen that game.

I mostly play with my own gender first. And when I get kind of tired of playing with the same old characters again and again, I would try a different gender.

Generally speaking, it depends on my mood... in RPGs with romance quest thingies I usually play females, but in others (or even better, in shooters) I usually play males. This goes for 3rd person and beat'em ups too, because, well, like was said before, who wants to watch a female behind? I for one thing don't .

Arhu: In UT I nearly always use male avatars. Hmmm...

Usually i play male character.

In NWN, once i played a female character; i try to concentrate on gameplay and ignore her "sway," although not always successful....

DzD: It really could not be sticky because I can not do that in this forum. Only the moderator of this forum can make subjects sticky. I can only make them stink by participating in them

I don't know why some persons find it embarassing to play with an avatar having opposite sex. I find it perfectly acceptable to play female even I am male. It is a computer game after all...

Oh, in MMORPGs I have come to notice that if your avatar is female, many male persons really think you are female behind the keyboard. This is something I also find quite odd. And female characters in male infested MMORPGs, well they are handled with silk gloves mostly. But that is not why I choose females when I do. It depends on the mood and also how I want to roleplay.

YOu really should not assume anything in games, especially in MMORPGs. The male fighter on your side might actually be female behind the keyboard...

Haha, it would be hilarious if you started flirting with one of those types.
