Just do the first part of the quest (the prison break I think?). You'll have plenty once it's over. Money shouldn't be a problem by the time you get to chapter 2. Don't sweat it too much

Also, before you clear out the prison, find the Guard's HQ. She will offer some extra money for clearing out the prison.

Also, if you have a good charisma or some skill in persuasion, it should be easy to get better rewards for quests and maybe even some cash up front, for supplies and such. After the first chapter, money is certainly not a problem. I had about 700k when I finished chapter 4, with a lot of expensive equipment.

You don't. If they have loot, the loot will appear after the bodies disappear.

I think he means actual 'bodies' in the game that are strewn all over.

Just click on them just like a chest or door.

If the body has loot to be taken, it will glow when you mouse over it, and your cursor will change. Some bodies have nothing, so you can't loot them.

Press the TAB key and everything you can loot or interact with will be highlighted. Then click on the highlighted stuff.

I tried to get loot from a shopkeeper but it didn't work. I didn't mean to kill him, just knock him down like in gothic but he died. He didn't leave any loot and to make matters worst a guard started attacking me.

This isn't a prison colony where mugging is considered acceptable.
