My friend is having troble with the ship gaurds.He got all of his crew members, captain, and the letter to let him of the ship.When he got to the entrance to the ship the gaurds were not there.Is there a bug or did he no do something?
Please help him

The friend is me!  Thanks for posting the problem, poohead8989.
Anyway, I don't yet have the heavy Dragon Hunter's Armor (I have Medium), and I haven't finished the Dragon Egg quest, so does anyone think that might be part of the problem?

That shouldn't be the problem. I believe you already showed the letter to Lord Hagen and that he called the shipguards. Since you got to be on that ship, it's absolutely not a problem that they are already gone.
Suggestion: Upgrade your armour to the heavy one. Better for going to the island.
