I listened to the scene where Gorn greeted the hero in the castle's dungeon. "Stan/man good to see you". It didn't sound like an M, but more like I said "Stan". Will someone listen to it again before jumping to conclusion? |

Of course we can now start an entire discussions whether or not he says "Stan", but I believe the developers made the game this way, with a nameless hero. So why would they make sure the hero never says his name like in the monastery when you just joined the novices:
hero: "I'm...
Parlan: "[interrupts] ...a novice" blabla
Why wouldn't they just let him tell his name, if you would hear his name anyway. Seems a little strange, so I don't think it was meant to sound as "Stan".

they cut him off from saying his name to diego at the beginning of gothic1 as well, but everyone here that has ever played with the attributes editor in marvin mode knows his real name...

But there again (most of us) know when you "possess" another body and look at pc_hero, what you see is "Me"

In deed I don't want to know his name because it will mean that it is the end of Gothic series  ... At least not in Gothic 3 I hope...

i think there will be never revealed his name but the position will be revealed probably who he was before G1 and what he did for beeying thrown into the colony |

I think he will be a hero, who was thrown unfair in that colony. As I said once he probably was orc-fighter... Maybe he is some one like Lee...
