So you found the highwaymen in the code, huh?

Guild: Organizer (in Gothic those are the Rogues)
Place: New Camp
Occupation: hold-up robbery
Friends: Scrapers
Enemies: Guards, Shadows
Attack: axe, heavy club, medium danger

Don't try a translation program, no matter if it's for free or not. I had the opportunity to test several of those - freeware and others - and even the best of them aren't very good.

This dictionary by the Technical University of Munich is pretty good. Works automatically in both directions.

The LEO dictionary is the best online dictionary, agreed, but translation programs (like, for example, the Langenscheid T1 or even Babelfish) are just not up to the task. Let's wait for our Cyberlinguists to come up with something better .

Hey, thanks Jaz, Gorath.

These are on some Gothic character pictures I've had for some time. Never could figure it out... but now I guess I can figure something out knowing a few key words. Thx.

Haven't tried the translator, but thx also. I tried an altavista one years ago on a few german websites. It was no bloody good. I know what you mean. But at least it helped me kinda' get the jist of things.
