Safe place while fighting [Upper Monastery]

When entering U. Monastery, there's the tunnel you must pass through. Recently I noticed that is the place where you can retreat to, after engaging powerful critters in battle. The amazing thing is they will stop attacking and if you're lucky enough they will not run away For example my L 1/2 party killed some L 6/7 Rabid Rats. The problem is not to enter too deep into the tunnel because the rats will retreat... Did you know of that? I'm just SO excited about my new discovery!

Finding safe places to fight like that is very important to your success in Wiz8. Keep up the good work!

Yes, I hope I do a good work, thanks Dteowner Do you know of any other place like that? I think I could make some use of any information of this kind
PS: Can you believe I start this game over and over again but I've never finished it? *lol*

There are lots of places that will allow you to retreat like that. I don't think you really want me to tell you where they are- that would spoil lots of your fun.

Until recently, I was RPGDot's "Wiz8 Restart King" with over 60 parties taken at least to Arnika. I think otter has passed me now and _gator has quite a bit of experience as well. With all those starts, I have only 3 wins and 2 Rifts (you'll understand what that is later), which is kind of sad.

Heh you are right I don't want spoilers :) Just asking... IMO that kind of places shouldn't exist in the game because I feel like cheating when I make use of them. Even if I was so enthusiastic, I must say I'll avoid that place in the future games. It just wouldn't be fair for the poor rats hehe.
And 60 parties? Woa! That's impressive :) And I dumped one of my parties on Ascension Peak so I proclaim myself Le Roi d'Ascension Peak! :))) Hm ok I'll have to find out what 'rifts' are :) BTW is it possible to finish the game without restarting? In the game I play right now I restarted about ten times. Eek it's obvious I'm a weak player *lol*

Lots of restarts doesn't automatically mean you're a bad player. It takes a few tries to figure out what sort of party will best fit your gaming style. Then it takes a few tries to learn how to develop those characters. Before you know it, you've restarted 10 times...

No, evereyone who restarts is a weak player. It's true, there are different parties with different professions and stuff, but anyway apart from the very first game, all the others should be perfect. At least, I'm trying to finish a game without a single restart! 'This looks like a challenge!' :))) Then I'll come here and proudly announce that outstanding event *lol* Until then I'm working hard with my valkyries and restart...every now and then :)
I'm in Arnika, if you're passing by, check at He'Li, u'll find me there chatting with the busty lady ;)
