I think I can tell you that Gig's activity is smth like a jojo.(with ups and downs) Jaz is however also a member who can join you. The thing is that there is some kind of voting before your allowed to join the group. The rules to take one on are still in question however.
I can however put some thread up over there, but I can not garantee succes.

Let me tell anyone interested that part of the problem with Gig being MIA is that we don't know who is asking to join, as the requests all go to her. We are trying to get in touch with her now, so be patient, and we will get this going one way or the other soon. All of the NFG members realize we are missing out on good members with the hold ups right now, and we apologize for it. I promise we are working on a solution.
Edit: As for invite only, I think that it is not a rule, and one of the things we were getting cleared up.

Let me just echo and confirm what CM has said. We are looking for new members, but until these 'admin' issues are sorted out, there is very little we can do. We hope you'll bear (or is it bare  ) with us in the short term.

after all this problems are sort out, is it OK if i volunteer to be invited in the NFG? I hear a lot of things about it, and it sounds nice (like SBR and stuff)
