If you want a better armor read on but this is a SPOILER

Ore armor: in the sunken old tower of Xardas. You have to dive underwater and in the dungeon you'll reach there are the ore armor (in a chest) and the teleport rune of fire (to the old camp where you can save Stone that improves the ore armor...)

You can't get that armor though until Xardas gives you the quest to get it. You need a specific key to open the chest that Xardas will give you.
You can also insert any armor using cheats.

You will get the Ore Armor in ch5. Before that, you get the Minecrawler Plate Armor from Wolf. If you're a mage, you will get Robe of the Dark Arts from Xardas later.

I wish they could make an alternative ending, in which the hero is wearing the robe rather than the ore armor.
