Probably many of you haven't heard about this country... No problem. I wish I hadn't either, but unfortunately I was born here.
So, if you heard something about it, legends, myths and stuff, just let me know! 
Also, I'd like to know who else is from Romania on this forum...

Last time I had contact with Romania, was someone trying to rip me off with 1000 British Pounds in a Lottery scam.
(Your e-mails and web addresses end with .ro, right? If not, it wasn't from Romania- Sorry)

And that they lost an important football (European football) match against our country few years ago. (Slovenia)
Otherwise i think its a normal eastern european country.

I have heard of Romania, but that is about it. Why don't you take this chance to educate us a little. Share a few things that some of us yanks for instance wouldn't know.

Please, do not remind me of that match. That is when the national team started to play really lousy. Now I'm not even sure that we'll qualify for World Cup 2006.

I will tell you on one condition: if you tell me a little bit about your countries (everybody who posted here).
For example, Romania is known for Count Dracula (and Transilvania stuff). And for being one of the poorest european country. Really, we are very poor (not third world poor, though...).
Besides that, putting away the legends, Count Dracula didn't exist. He was a ruler of one of the three romanian states in the Dark Age (we were split back then) and he used to kill the liers and those who didn't serve well the country by putting a stick through their body (kinda painful, I'm sure). From that his "nickname", Dracul (Devil in English) and thanks to Bram Stoker's rich immagination he became Dracula. But I assure you he was a good person (if you don't consider the bloody murders ).
More things that I can say about Romania is that our girls look astonishing (and I'm not kidding here) and you can find really nice people here. Unfortunately, they tend to "extinct" as time goes by.

To be honest romania is a poor and not very powerfull country.To me I can't think anything that you make you guys popular.I hope youy don't hate me now for this but I can't stand the others who say Romania's a good country and..I don't have anything with romania that's the truth and you hav to axept it.

Hmm... I seem to remember in the book 'Left Behind', the writers, who are bible scholars (or whatever they are called), say the Anti-Christ will come from Romania.
They might just be using that for the book, I'm not sure if they believe it exactly.
