I had problems with Baldur's Gate on XP. In fact I could not finish installation I installed original game ok, but when it came to installing Tales of the Sword Coast expasion everything went wrong. Installation will play a demo movie in the very end. My computer crahed on this movie. Several times, so install was never properly completed.

This is one of the reasons, why I abandoned XP and went back to Win2K. I use XP in my office now quite happily, but I run W2K at home with no problems.

EDIT: But of course it is just me. I think the problem is with my video (Radeon 9100) causing problems in XP. You should try running BG for yourself.

Lucky both of you I have ATI Radeon 9100, and I think it was a problem. Well, anyhow, I'm happy with my good-old Win2K again. There nothing quite like family
