moving up in MM IX

Help! I am trying to get started in Might and Magic. What do I need to do to move my party up to experts? Is it by finishing quests? The guy at the training center takes my money but nothing seems to happen.

You have to find a trainer, they are scattered around the cities, and move about, so some diligence in hunting them up is required. You also have to have at least L4 in the skill.

To get higher than expert in any skill you will need to undergo the promotion process. This is slightly more involved and entails completing quests ... but is worth it as being a Master or GrandMaster in a given skill greatly increases the effectiveness of the skill.

Also keep in mind that some classes cannot become experts/masters/grandmasters in certain skills regardless of how many skill points you have.

In M&M9 the only thing you need is Poison Cloud.
