Morrow vs Goth

Morrow owns Gothic in most areas.. Gothic is fun but it's not open ended. And you have a limited weapons and armor. Yes NPC's are much better but that's it. Given both I choose Morrowind.

Gothic is not open ended?? Maybe you should actually try playing it before you post.

Gothic II vs Morrow

I was mostly comparing G2 against Morrowind. Yes it's not really open ended. You can't get to many areas without progressing. You can't get certain armor until completing certain quests or levels. I like it but it's not near as open as morrow.

Gothic wins because he simulates life better and has a good story between the games.

btw NPG the sooo called openess of MW is sometimes very crapy after youve played the game 2 times at least.Wauw i start my game and run off to caldera steal the alchemy reparaturs and go to sadrith mora make myself tons of INT pots and drink them.then i start makign all of the other pots boost my strenght then grab my 1st dagger and go to get both of the epic wepons.Go to the boss with my 1trillion strenght and intellegnce and kill him with the epic wepons destroy the heart and walla i completed the game and i get a cool ring(in gothic you must at least show some skill to complete the game in MW all i have to do i memorise where everything is and im done).

good things about MW are:
-good graphic
-you can do everything you like(in some cases good)
-huge world
-enemys grow stronger as you lvl

bad things about MW are:
-NPCs always reply with the same answer
-every guard looks the same in the face
-to fight just click your mouse button like nuts
-not much of a story
-game completeble in 15mins
-you can get the best armor at lvl 1(no requirments to equip anything)

good thigns about G:
-Superb story
-live world and NPCs
-all of the text is being actually spoken
-good fighting system

bad things about G:
-not much of a graphic
-armors could be in pieces
-in g2 last boss too easy

Gothic is much better than Morrowind but the last offers something unique(interesting graphic&music etc). From my view point Gothic has more satisfaction to offer and a strong storyline .... Bethesda "repaired" the story through the newest creation:Oblivion.... I've been thinking about these 2 games and I realised that they are very different and we can't compare them. Both have an unique strucure & story......

Morrowind envy..

It oozes from every post.. Especially the little green guys. I think that you wish Gothic II was half the game that Morrowind is. Morrowind has it's probs bur overall it's very fun. The labasting most of you are giving it is pure BS. Gothic is alright in it's own right but it's not near the game that Morrowind is.

So... is it time we locked this topic and opened a new one entitled "Oblivion vs Gothic"?
