why do thingies are sold far below their real prices?

during my night raids, i have `liberated` some thingies, but when i sell them to khorinis merchants, they are far below their tag price. i am currently at level 4. will it remain so? or there are merchants that buy for better prices?

its the same old "merchents gotta make a liveing" song all over again
you bust your hump to the bone to get a nice collection that you offer them
and they just take it at a low price .. after all who knows where you got it ? .. and after an evil grin they sell it off for 4 times the price .. just like in the real world

There are, in fact, some merchants who buy things for higher prices. E.g., if you're member of the Thieves Guild, you can sell your silverware to another member for which he will give you more money, but only once a day. If you're the apprentice of Bosper, you can sell fur for fullprice. If you're the apprentice of Constantino, he will buy all mushrooms for fullprice. Etc.

It's all to prevent you from getting awfully rich in the end.

don't worry about it, you'll have plenty of gold to buy whatever you qant in no time. It's only a struggle at the very beginning but you'll have plenty of gold before the end of chapter 1. I'm playing NOTR again and I already have over 40K gold at the start of chapter 4!

In real life you can't reload when another Orc Elite smashes your skull.
