How's your universe going?

Mine is going pretty decent. Still not enough money of course but doing very well. Have 20-30 factories. 80-90 TP's. Two M5's. Barracuda, Nova, Dragon, Bayamon.

I'm up to about 30 million. I'm tempted to blow it all on more factories somewhere but I'm also tempted to wait and get an M2.

Finished the main storyline. It was OK and way to hard in parts. I would have prefered some better thought out missions and a longer story. Seemed very short. They could have even done away with the animation and just used screen shots with much better voice acting and more missions and dialogue. Also I would like to be able to find an occasional upgrade that isn't available anywhere else. Like a speed boost for a Barracuda or something like that.

Also I don't see how other ships have 25MW shields. I have a factory and I'm still collecting everyone I can find.

Found out how cool Wasp missiles are. Lock onto an M5 shoot one at 7-8 klicks out and watch it go boom!

Does anyone else love their Pegasus like I do!

Sorry to hear that Danicek! Hopefully you'll get a chance to play soon.

My empire is pretty small yet. Two factories and a couple million credits. 7-8 freighters, a Disco and a Buster. Hopefully I can get more playtime soon and I can buy a new factory.

Empire: Brennan's Triumph and all immediate sectors.

1x25 MW shield factory loop
1xGPPC factory loop
1xBPPC factory loop

(still shopping for a 125 shield factory for sale)

Home sector defense: XHG Tidal Kraken (Boron Ray)
Home sector support ship: Mobile Fortress Ship: Paranid Hercules "Fortress Mobilus"

Adjoining sectors: "Shockwave Therapy" (Teladi Osprey), "Khaakstomper" (Centaur), and I can't recall my Nemisis' name right now... but it patrols around as well.

Flagship: XHG Freeman's Fury (Teladi Condor), escorted by "XHG Black November" (heh) (Argon Titan) and Indigo 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 (Argon Novas), fueled and supported by Conscript 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 (Pirate Orinocco)

Capital ships actually work with each other as wingmen and never seem to slam into each other, like fighters do (my first fight I deployed 12 pirate captures... bayoman, mandolay, orinocco... with 45 seconds the November had killed three due to PPC fire, two had slammed into the Fury, three had collided with each other, and the last four were milling about taking one shot every 30 seconds).

Of course a big part of being successful wingmen is that unless I'm fighting other M2 all I have to do is command my capital ships to stop moving and let the turrets do the talking. Occassionally my ships rake each other in crossfire.. but with 800k shields on the flagship it doesn't care about the odd salvo of GPPC fire... and the Fury's weapon systems, consisting of one turret per face, can do nothing against the M2s shields at all.

Yes, I could just be in the November... but the Fury feels more like a flagship (it's SLOW as sin, though).

Production factories: Yadda, yadda, complete solar cell loops, yadda yadda, dozens, yadda yadda, drone factories, yadda yada 1 million an hour non-seta with ease, easily surpassed by my mission running (assassinations pay me 1.5 million or so per mission and take 5 minutes).

I decided to start over following my relocation, but I decided to wait for v1.4 to be released rather than have to transition mid-conquest. Once that comes out, I plan to dedicate my every non-working, non-sleeping hour to getting into Xen's league.

Had to take a break for my Beyond Divinity review but I'd finished the story line anyway. Going to restart from scratch with 1.4 - very excited with the list of changed.

I'm actually restarting from scratch as well... my empire was all well and good and I could have expanded it indefinitely... but this time I'm taking a different approach and I'm going 'hands on' for most of my credits.

Going to be a dedicated pirate and mission runner (the poor Boron get to be my target of choice for most acts of piracy). I may set up a space fuel distillery in or near pirate space as well but my primary income will be hands on tasks... pirating, mission running, perhaps some manual trading or asteroid mining.

Could be fun, could be tedious... but if I really don't like it I can always load up my other game and blow the crap out of a few sectors.
