Can you become a watermage in the addon?

I`ve seen some screenshots from the addon in which you had a water robe but someone who played the german version said in a review that you cannot become a watermage(so can you get a water mage armor in the addon without cheating?)

First things first: This post belongs in the Gothic 2 General Forum, not the Gothic General Forum. Second of all, I haven't played the addon yet, but from what I've heard, you can be a Water Mage.

No Water Mages

I just asked a similar question, and it was stated that you couldn't become a water mage. As for the armor, either it was a cheated character, or you can get the armor.

A definite 'no'. You will not become a watermage. You'll get some of their spells, but you're not going to join them.

i agree the addon is not as good as it could be

- it's WAY TOO difficult (thank innos there's an unofficial "wimp"-patch)
- you have to start off from the beginning in Xardas' Tower
- the game balance is really bad (e.g. you have many rain of fire spells which only cost 10 mana so you can kill 10 Orcs BUT you can't kill a stupid Scavenger with your sword, lol)
- and, at last, you can't be a water mage

apart from that i like the addon (the music, the landscape, the quests... just beautiful) but however it's not what i expected.

hey guys i don't want to slam the game but I think it's no fun to pay 10 learning points for one (1) strength point later in the game.

@GothicDrak-Be careful, the moderators are ever patrolling and they don't like bad language.

Anyway, do you have to start the addon as a wimp with no skills like you did at the beginning of both games?

I'm sorry about that.

There is no english version yet. You start from the begining of the game(in xardas's tower) only this time you encounter the water mages from the gothic 1 and they will open a portal to a new world
