Party for speed gaming

I wanted to go fast without many stops for camping. I did not care if I miss something here & there. So I created the following party :

1-4 : LORD (DWARF - 25 extra points - the reason was : Health Regeneration )
5 : ROGUE ( HOBBIT - 60 extra points - the reason was : Locks/Traps)
6 : HEALER ( DWARF - 50 extra points - He can Heal & help others/Identify/Teleport)

I think these characters are the best for this use. The question is : can I do better ?

I think quickest and strongest party you can create is:

1 - 3. fighters
4. rogue
5. mage (attacks)
6. priest (healer)

Or you can change one fighter for one more attacks mage, it will be weaker party at beginning but even stranger later.

Swap a bard in for Danicek's rogue, and I think you're about as close to power gaming as you can get. By adding the bard, you get a camping bonus so that, when you are forced to rest, you bounce back quicker. The bard instruments will help out a lot from early game all the way to the end. Losing the pickpocket bonus of the rogue won't matter since PP has been pretty well squashed in the patch. You lose some melee ability as well, but the 3 fighters probably won't need much help.

Every gamer wants different things from his/her gaming experience, but I'd think twice about power gaming Wiz8- you'll miss sooo much of the charm and depth of the game.

In Wiz8, lords are rather difficult to develop well. I'd really think twice about a party with 4 of them in it, but it's your game to play

Ups, I didnt mean rogue, but "I do not know how to call it, but he/she use bow very much".

EDITED: I have it - ranger.

Camping?

(By adding the bard, you get a camping bonus so that, when you are forced to rest, you bounce back quicker)

Is that really useful? I mean what is the difference between quicker camping & normal camping?
Anyway thanks for the ideas!

Two differences in camping with a bard, supposedly:
1) Characters regenerate spells & stamina faster while sleeping
2) Party less likely to be surprised

Maybe spells but not stamina. Stamina is regenerating so quickly that it can not be regenerated even quicker.

I think he/she meant to say "hit points" instead of stamina, since the bard helps out with that regeneration.

You're right. I meant HP, not stamina. Sorry. BTW, I am a he.

Got caught making gender assumptions a while back (much to my embarrassment), so I'm trying to be more careful these days...
