Puzzle lock in droid warehouse? KOTOR-2 |
|
Whats the combination to the puzzle lock? I can't figure it out and I can't destroy the lock. _________________ "What are you gonna do? Release the dogs?! Or the bees?! Or dogs with bees in their mouth so that when they bark they shoot bees at you?" - Homer Simpson |

Not a Rubix Cube fan, I take it?
Spoiler:
1. Turn center counterclockwise.
2. Turn left counterclockwise.
3. Turn right clockwise.

Why can't you destroy the lock? No weapons? _________________ Jaz |

I dunno. The panel isn't like a computer panel. It doesn't give me an option to destroy the lock. _________________ "What are you gonna do? Release the dogs?! Or the bees?! Or dogs with bees in their mouth so that when they bark they shoot bees at you?" - Homer Simpson |

Oh, right. There is no option given. Just switch to your weapon and shoot it/bash it. _________________ Jaz |

I forgot what the combination was, but it's actually pretty easy. The main thing there was to understand, what "cubes" it will actually turn, and in which way. Basically, the letters there were in format:
1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8
I think they were like this, apologies if it isn't as I am trying to write this from the memory
Anywho, I did fail few times just because I was trying to find out exactly what it turns and how it turns. The left block the riddle mentions are numbers 1, 2, 5 and 6.
Middle block the riddle mentions are numbers 2, 3, 6 and 7.
And the right block the riddle mentions are 3, 4, 7 and 8.
I admit that I have messed with Rubic Cubic a lot years ago Anywho, once it was clear what it actually moves and where/how, it became easier. Simply looked as to what letter/number goes where when the block is turned and indeed, can be done with only the, what, 3 tries as it asked? Basically, the first move involves to move one letter/digit to aside, so that another can be moved into rotating location. Second move is to rotate the block, placing half the letters/digits from first step into right spot (most of them, one still needs to be rotated), third step involves a rotation of the digits from the first step into correct position
Yeah, sounds messy, I know, but when you look exactly as to what letters go where when you rotate it and see exactly what parts rotate and how, then you'll see that this particular riddle is actually not difficult _________________ Been there, done that . . . |
