Finished :)

*** There are some very, very minor spoilers within which is why I'm posting this here and not in the general forum ***

Well, I completed the game tonight with my survivor All in all I was very happy with the game. The only small annoyances I had were that it was quite easy to run into a bug and get stuck, forcing you to revert back to a previous save. For example, after my first encounter with Josephine the staff she drops got stuck in the wall and I couldn't pick it up, even when using telekenesis. Killing her all over again was a joy. I wasn't overly fond of the Dialbo-esque hack and slash combat either, I think you should either do things properly in regards to combat (BG2) or make combat more or less unimportant and focus on the storyline and make use of the skills you've built up that way (Quest for Glory). I also feel the game lost a bit of it's spark once you reached the wastelands, I found the last dungeon extremely tedious. And what was up with the wastelands music? It's more Command and Conquer than RPG Although the overall the music is probably the best I've heard in an RPG yet, so I shouldn't nit pick.

None of those things detracted from my enjoyment of the game in any large way however, and I think Larian proved you can still make a great game without a bunch of eye candy. I particularly liked the slightly weird sense of humour and the numerous dev jokes dotted throughout the game (especially the big one involving the silver armour). I haven't seen that many easter eggs since Quest for Glory

Couldn't agree more.

Even with some of the weaknesses, it's still rare feat for a small developer to produced a game that widely praised and accepted by CRPGs fan.

Congrats!

Yeah, that music in the Wasteland was quite weird. It almost seemed to clash with the game.
