Tsup all,

Couple of Gothic questions I couldn't find in the FAQ.

First off, I switched my resolution from the default 640x480x16 to 1024xblahx16. The game runs great, but the cutscenes (like the intro movie) are messed up - nothing shows up on the screen and the sound comes in chopped-up bits. They used to play fine when I had resolution at 640x480x16. What gives? Anyone know how to fix it? I have a VooDoo5 with the latest drivers.

Secondly, I have more raw meat than a butcher shop. I heard you can cook it, but in the FAQ it doesn't say how. I tried using a skillet on a campfire, and my dude just shrugs. I tried using the meat also while staniding in front of the skillet, and he ate it. Hint please? thanks in advance...

You have to be at a certain angle to grill the meat. Upgrades it from healing 10 to 15.

As for the cut scenes... hmm... it might be a VooDoo thing. I haven't used a Voodoo since 3 first came out, so I'm afraid I don't know much about the problems 5 has.

And do you use a skillet to roast the meat or a campfire?

Argh about the cutscenes. How many exactly are there? Maybe I could time it so before I go to a cutscene I switch resolution to lower...

Cutscenes: just four all in all (I believe), counting the start of the game.

In each of the camps, you will see frying pans set on top of campfires. All you have to do is face the campfire with the frying pan on it and get fairly close and then hold down the left control key and press the up arrow and then you will cook one piece of meat. Repeat this until all your meat is cooked.

Thanks! Looking forward to doing some roasting. If you smellllll-now! What The Convict! Is! Cooking! *grin*

Oh, and solved the cutscene problem, thanks to the FAQ. All it took is turning on the 2 sample antialiasing in the voodoo 5 properties. Lookin' good.

I got it, but it's not really what I'd call funny.
